Hi there,

My name is Gemma and I would like to share with you my many years of experience supporting people with their mental health and well-being.

I have 20+ years of working with individuals within the private sector, civil service, local government and charities which has provided me with invaluable experience of working with a diverse range of people.

This has included working within human resources supporting employees with performance, training and relations and as a member of a wellbeing group supporting colleagues with their mental health. I have also worked with adult offenders, many of which had significant health and social needs supporting with re-settlement after leaving prison. Plus, as an advocate with youth offenders supporting vulnerable young people often with complex behavioral issues. In addition, my work has extended to working with individuals who have physical and mental disabilities through the process of claiming benefits and as a counsellor within a mental health charity.

Through my work experience of supporting others and my own experience of lives challenges where Counselling has been fundamental for me, I am very passionate about my role as a counsellor and believe in the benefits counselling can provide.
